Consultation on Draft Neighbourhood Plan

Neighbourhood Plan Consultation

Public consultation on the North Claines draft neighbourhood plan started on 6 November for 6 weeks.

Cass Associates has been working with North Claines Parish Council to prepare a neighbourhood plan.  The Parish is located to the north of Worcester in the District of Wychavon.  The draft plan has been developed following previous consultation with local residents and analysis of available evidence.  The emerging South Worcestershire Development Plan proposes two large residential allocations in the Parish.

The draft neighbourhood plan seeks to ensure that these developments are properly integrated into both its urban and rural context.  It also seeks to designate a Local Retail Area and Local Heritage Area within the Parish’s main village, Fernhill Heath.  There is also a longer term aspiration for a rail based Park and Ride site and an education, health and community hub to be provided within the Parish.

Cass Associates have assisted the Parish Council in organising the public consultation which includes three exhibitions as well as sending out of summary leaflet to every household in the Parish.

Further information on the North Claines Neighbourhood Plan is available on the Wychavon District Council website.
