Cass Associates are celebrating after winning the Royal Town Planning Institute’s national Best Small Planning Practice of The Year title.
THE RTPI Planning Consultancy awards seek to identify “exemplary practice”, assessing the quality of work delivered and the contribution made to better planning practices across the UK and Ireland.
Judges for this category were Tim Hancock, MD of Terence O’Rourke; William McKee, Former Director General of the British Property Federation and Mike Holmes, President of the Planning Officers Society.
They acknowledged that: “With just three chartered town planners, including two partners, Cass Associates punches well above its weight in the scale of projects it delivers. The Liverpool-based planning and design practice’s portfolio covers some of the UK’s most complex development and regeneration projects.”
The judges concluded: “Cass Associates has shown itself adept at pulling together a range of broader expertise as well as making its own professional input on projects of sometimes daunting scale and complexity. There is every sign that the consultants have met clients’ needs, especially in their ability to respond imaginatively to briefs.”
Cass Associates’ Partner Peter Hamilton said: “ Our practice works extremely hard to maintain our highly successful track record in achieving positive planning outcomes for our clients and to have won this award by our highly respected industry body, the RTPI, is a great honour for us.“
